ITI Group recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in Construction, Engineering & Property™

Posted in Blog, Latest News on September 10th, 2026

The 2026 UK’s Best Workplaces in Construction, Engineering & Property™ list was revealed by Great Place To Work® UK, recognising ITI Group among the list of organisations in the UK’s Best Workplaces in Construction, Engineering & Property category.

This recognition follows a year of direct action on colleague feedback. In response to the 2025 Trust Index survey, ITI Group introduced Private Medical Insurance for its UK workforce and a new health, dental and disability benefits package for colleagues in Canada. The business also published its Pay Philosophy, setting out openly how salary reviews, benchmarking and pay governance work, in response to colleagues asking for greater clarity on how pay decisions are made. Alongside the annual Valuing Our People Awards, business leads now hold local budgets to recognise colleagues in the moment, and long service milestones have been broadened to five-year increments.

Beyond benefits, ITI Group has focused on the things colleagues said mattered to them. A new Fundraising and Charitable Giving Policy gives clear routes for colleagues to support their local communities, building on partnerships with around ten charities in 2025, and colleagues are encouraged to volunteer as STEM Ambassadors to inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists. The company also sponsors its own beehive in partnership with a local honey producer, and the Sheffield office renovation completed this year has given the team a significantly improved working environment.

The Best Workplaces in Construction, Engineering & Property™ list is created using the anonymous feedback from employees working in the industry about their workplace experience.

Great Place To Work® UK administered their research-backed Trust Index© employee survey and analysed the responses of UK-based construction, engineering and property sector employees to determine the Best Workplaces™ list.  The surveys asked employees to comment on how their company supports their work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety and financial security. Evaluations also included an assessment of how well the organisation was able to deliver consistency of their employee experience across all departments and seniority levels.

Kelly Parkin, Group People and Culture Director of ITI Group said:

“What makes this award matter is where it comes from. It is not judged on what we say about ourselves, it is based entirely on what our colleagues said, anonymously and in their own words. That is why we take it seriously. A better place to work is not something you can design and hand to people, it is something you build with them, by asking honestly, listening properly and acting on what you hear.”

Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place To Work® UK said:

“Construction, engineering, and property organisations often operate across multiple locations, making it essential to create a workplace culture that brings people together, wherever they are based. Our research shows that the highest-performing organisations in this sector achieve this through clear communication, trusted leadership, and a strong sense of inclusion. As a result, employees feel connected to their colleagues, supported in their roles, and confident they are contributing to a shared purpose. Congratulations to ITI Groupon being recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in Construction, Engineering & Property™ and for building a culture where people can thrive.”
