ITI Group Wins AVEVA Partner Games with Emissions Management Solution

Three of ITI Group’s Digital Operations Engineers are celebrating victory in Paris at the AVEVA Partner Games.
The competition sees AVEVA Partners from all across the globe compete in a series of challenges designed to test their conceptual thinking and teamwork skills under pressure. Following the initial rounds, the top five teams are invited to compete in the grand finale, held as part of the AVEVA World conference, this year at the Palais des Congrès in the centre of Paris.
As a demonstration of ITI Group’s reputation as a world class systems integrator, we had not one, but two teams make it to the final this year, where they were put through their paces in the ‘hackathon’ final, with a specific focus on the theme of sustainability.
ITI Group’s winning team used the AVEVA PI System to measure emissions from the lines in a manufacturing plant. The team included two of our Data Science Graduate Apprentice Engineers, whose expertise enabled them to quickly learn and leverage AVEVA’s new CONNECT platform to create real-time scope 2 predictions. The team then utilised the Advanced Analytics tool in CONNECT to apply a machine learning algorithm to predict scope 2 emissions associated with the factory’s energy usage, and enable the customer to find optimisation opportunities.
